In short

Cyber Crime in Pakistan Moves Fast. So Do We.

Pakistan’s Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) created a sweeping framework for digital offences. Online harassment, defamation, blackmail, financial fraud, hacking, and data misuse can now lead to FIA investigation, arrest, and serious criminal penalties. Cases under PECA move quickly, and the investigation stage, before charges are even filed, is often the most critical.

LawBridge LLP acts on both sides of cyber crime matters. We represent individuals and businesses who have been victimised by online fraud, harassment, blackmail, or hacking, and we defend those facing FIA cybercrime complaints or PECA charges that may be exaggerated, malicious, or factually wrong.

Led by Barrister Bilal Ashraf, Barrister-at-Law (Lincoln’s Inn) and Advocate of the High Court, our team understands both the law and the digital evidence that drives these cases. Overseas Pakistanis targeted by cybercrime in Pakistan, or facing complaints here while abroad, can instruct us remotely. Tell us what has happened on WhatsApp and we will tell you exactly what to do.

Cyber Crime Questions We Hear Most

Can I file a cybercrime complaint from abroad against someone in Pakistan?
Yes. FIA cybercrime complaints can be filed here on your behalf. We gather the digital evidence, prepare the complaint, and pursue it through the FIA and the courts.
I received an FIA summons. What should I do?
Do not ignore it and do not attend without a lawyer. Contact us immediately. We review the notice, advise on your position, and appear with you or on your behalf.
Someone is posting defamatory or harassing content about me online. Can it be removed and the person prosecuted?
Yes. PECA provides for both content removal and criminal prosecution for online defamation and harassment. We file the complaint and pursue both remedies together.
I was scammed online and lost money. Can I recover it?
In some cases, yes. We file the FIA complaint, trace the fraud through the available channels, and pursue civil recovery alongside the criminal action.
Can a PECA case be challenged if the complaint is false?
Yes. A malicious or fabricated PECA complaint can be challenged at the investigation stage and at trial. We defend PECA cases and pursue remedies available for false complaints.
